JOB TITLE: Credit Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Finance
LOCATION: Bristol
REPORTS TO TITLE: Director of Accounts Receivable
Overview
Detail-oriented, hands-on individual needed to support the Account Receivable for the maintenance and collection of customer accounts. Responsible for payment application, reconciliation and collection of past due balances in an efficient and timely manner. Candidate will also be responsible for prepping, posting and applying customer payments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collections
- Correspond with customers to obtain payments for open AR
- Monitor credit holds and account receivable reports daily.
- Access customer portals to obtain remittance advice to apply payments to customer accounts accordingly
- Monitor accounts to identify past due invoices an proactively follow-up with customers via phone and email.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
Cash Management
- Accurately apply customer payments, (ACH, checks, wires, etc) to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, overpayments and unidentified remittances.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts against bank deposits and remittance information to ensure accurate cash postings.
- Assist in identifying and correcting discrepancies that can impact customer credit standing or aging reports.
- Create deductions on information provided by the customer and coordinate with deduction specialist to ensure deductions are posted accurately.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years cash application and collections experience.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and D365 (or similar ERP)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated analytical abilities.
- Strong mathematical abilities in reconciling customer accounts.
- Problem solver with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
