What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Assistant, Athletic Broadcasting position at Lenoir-Rhyne University - College of Business and Economics (CBE)?
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Media and Communications and works closely with the Athletic External Operations unit for the day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for the successful execution in planning, developing and administering all aspects of the athletic department’s broadcast operation strategy. This includes, but is not limited to: the staffing and production of all Lenoir-Rhyne athletic broadcasts, assisting the external operations team in growing the Bear brand through the live streams and developing new ways to tell the stories of Lenoir-Rhyne athletes.

Description Of Duties And Tasks
- Lead execution of all Lenoir-Rhyne athletic broadcasts by guiding his/her team to ideate, create, design, and execute successful multi-camera live streams.
- Oversee a staff of student workers/interns to help develop the overall broadcasting production strategy and create a foundation of success across all sports.
- Responsible for working with Athletics Marketing, Communications and Game Operations staff to ensure a coordinated and strategic effort to increase the athletic department brand and fan engagement.
- Work with FloSports to ensure continuous coverage of Lenoir-Rhyne events and work to ensure the standard of quality is among the highest in Division II.
- Assist with sports communications coverage depending on department needs and experience.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of web-streaming equipment
- Production Truck, Titler, Blackmagic, etc.
- Proficient knowledge of sound equipment
- Experience working in a collegiate or professional sports digital media department preferred
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite graphics
- Ability to work nights and weekends
