What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker – Russian Speaking Family & Child Services position at Lenny V?
I am looking for a Russian-speaking licensed Social Worker to work directly with me and my family in Brooklyn.
This is a private family position and is primarily a monitoring and support role. The Social Worker will be present during scheduled family time, provide a professional and objective presence, and monitor interactions and the overall environment.
Responsibilities:
- Be present during scheduled family time, primarily after school, weekends, and some holidays
- Monitor interactions and the overall family environment
- Provide an objective, professional presence when needed
- Observe and report any significant concerns or issues
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Provide brief notes or documentation when appropriate
- Communicate with me regarding observations or concerns
This is not primarily a therapy or childcare position. The role does not require extensive interaction with the children. The main responsibility is to be present, observe, and monitor in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Social Work license required (LMSW or LCSW)
- Russian-speaking required to communicate effectively with family members
- Professional, reliable, mature, and discreet
- Comfortable working in a private family setting
- Strong communication skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Experience working with children or families is a plus, but not required
Schedule:
- Primarily after-school hours and weekends
- Some holidays
- Part-time
- Flexible scheduling can be discussed
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
