What Drives Success
Under general supervision, safely and efficiently movies trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking locations within the distribution center yard. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring timely trailer positioning for loading and unloading.
Operate a yard truck (shag truck) to move trailers within the facility grounds. Spot trailers at designated dock doors for loading and unloading. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the yard truck and report any issues. Maintain accurate trailer inventory and yard organization. Communicate with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and supervisors to coordinate trailer movements. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies. Assist with minor trailer maintenance (e.g., checking lights, tires). Monitor yard conditions and report hazards or inefficiencies.
Minimum 1-3 years related experience. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on facility.

What We Offer
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.96– $28.02 /hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
