Preferred Qualifications
Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $19.00 – $19.80/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective programs. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Responsibilities And Expectations
A Lab Technician Intern, under general supervision, assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
- Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions
- Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies
- Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data
- Helps prepare proposals, cost estimates and work load
- Assist in establishing completion dates.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency.
- Take ownership of individual tasks and meet project deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools and systems.

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
