Job Summary
DEFINITION: Provide assistance to special education staff in diagnostic, evaluative, instructional, curricular and behavioral planning for special education programs throughout the school district. Work closely with the Director of Special Education to ensure a well coordinated, and articulated special education program from preschool through high school.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: • Three years successful teaching experience • Knowledge of current laws and educational trends pertaining to individuals with disabilities • Possession of an Education Specialist Instruction Credential • Demonstration of leadership ability, experience with conducting in-services, and other similar experiences • Possession of a Master's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in the area of special education preferable • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with parents, professionals, and paraprofessional personnel and possess a valid California motor vehicle operator's license • Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable
