Join Lennar’s 10-week Future Builders internship program and gain hands-on experience working alongside field leaders in a key business function. The Homebuilding Intern will be placed within the Division’s Construction vertical and gain exposure to five key areas of the business by participating in training opportunities throughout the internship. As an intern, you’ll take on impactful assignments that contribute directly to your team’s success—ranging from supporting ongoing programs and initiatives to leading your own capstone project. Throughout the program, you’ll receive dedicated mentorship, professional development opportunities, and connect with colleagues across departments to see how different parts of the organization work together. By the end of your internship, you’ll not only deepen your knowledge of the business and industry but also build the skills, relationships, and confidence to launch your career.

Construction Intern


  • Support the supervision and scheduling of daily trade partner activities while ensuring compliance with City/County/State requirements and building codes
  • Communicate construction progress/feedback and home completion date to the company through weekly reports
  • Work closely with trade partners and management team to ensure open communication on all matters; produce quality work and provide proactive resolution of issues that may arise
  • Maintain and organize construction files for use by management and other field Associates


Requirements:


  • Current Junior working towards a bachelor's or master's degree, graduating within 2 years (preferred)
  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, business, or similar degree or similar degree
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and valid auto insurance coverage
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office. Also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items less than 50 pounds. Finger dexterity in operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages. Standing is required for filing and copying.
