Preschool Custodian

The Preschool Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the Preschool facilities. This role ensures a welcoming and well-kept environment for our preschool students, teachers and families. This position requires attention to detail, initiative and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and Maintenance
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe/dust surfaces as needed.
• Take out trash and recycling to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, mirrors, and entryways etc.
• Facility Upkeep
• Monitor and maintain inventory, cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate parties.
• Event Preparation and Cleanup
• Ensure spaces are cleaned and ready for use before and after events.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 30 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching.

Working Hours

• Flexible schedule of 10 hours per week, Work must be completed during non school hours. Schedule to be negotiated with Supervisor (Preschool Director) and Senior Pastor.
