Director of Servicing

Lendmarq is a specialty real estate lender providing bridge and term loan products to residential real estate investors throughout the country. Lendmarq is seeking an experienced Head of Servicing to lead the strategy, operations, and performance of the company's loan servicing platform throughout the entire loan lifecycle. This executive will oversee both Core Servicing, including customer service, investor reporting, and subservicer oversight, and Special Servicing, including delinquency management, loan modifications, foreclosure oversight, bankruptcy management, REO disposition, and asset recovery. The successful candidate will establish best-in-class servicing practices, develop scalable processes, implement performance metrics, and lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance the borrower experience while maximizing portfolio performance and minimizing credit losses. This role partners closely with Originations, Finance, Legal, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Technology, and Executive Leadership

*This role is Hybrid, with the flexibility to work remotely from either NYC or Miami, FL. Candidates are expected to be able to commute to either office as needed without requiring extensive travel.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all day-to-day loan servicing operations from loan boarding through final payoff.
• Oversee payment processing, escrow administration, customer inquiries, payoff processing, draw management, and servicing transfers.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, investor, and internal servicing requirements.
• Develop servicing policies, procedures, and quality control standards that support operational excellence.
• Monitor servicing KPIs.
• Working closely with the technology team, drive automation, workflow improvements, and technology enhancements to improve servicing efficiency and scalability.
• Oversee vendor relationships including sub-servicers, inspection vendors, and servicing technology providers.
• Ensure accurate investor reporting, portfolio reporting, reconciliations, and servicing data integrity.
• Develop and execute strategies for managing delinquent, distressed, and non-performing loans.
• Oversee loan modifications, extensions, forbearance agreements, restructurings, repayment plans, and negotiated resolutions.
• Direct foreclosure, bankruptcy, deed-in-lieu, short sale, and REO management activities.
• Partner with legal counsel to manage litigation and foreclosure timelines while maximizing recoveries.
• Establish recovery strategies that balance borrower outcomes with portfolio performance.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing Core and Special Servicing teams.
• Establish departmental goals, service standards, productivity metrics, and performance expectations.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve servicing operations and customer experience.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on servicing strategy, portfolio performance, staffing, and technology investments.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and exceptional borrower service.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive servicing experience including full servicing life system.
• Extensive knowledge of loan servicing operations, payment processing, escrow administration, investor reporting, and servicing compliance.
• Demonstrated expertise in loan workouts, restructurings, modifications, foreclosures, bankruptcies, REO management, and asset recovery.
• Ability to assess risk, develop recovery strategies, and drive outcomes in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
• Experience collaborating with legal counsel, investors, and internal stakeholders to execute resolutions
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with executive-level presence
