Duties
- Assist clients in understanding their mortgage options and the loan process.
- Evaluate client financial information to determine eligibility for loans.
- Prepare and present loan proposals to clients, including terms and conditions.
- Negotiate loan terms with clients and lenders to secure favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with escrow officers, underwriters, and other professionals throughout the loan process.
- Utilize accounting software and tools such as Quicken for accurate loan processing.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions and transactions in compliance with TILA regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in mortgage lending.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial sales or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with loan processing, underwriting, and escrow procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations related to loans and interest rates.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools relevant to mortgage lending.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
- A strong understanding of TILA regulations and compliance requirements within the mortgage industry.
