Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundskeeper and Farm Hand to join us. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a vibrant environment, maintaining the beauty and functionality of expansive grounds while supporting various farm and shop operations. The ideal candidate will bring honesty, trustworthiness, energy, expertise, and a proactive approach to ensure the smooth running of a small farm, welding and fabrication shop, yard, landscape maintenance, farm chores, animal care, and equipment upkeep. Must have your own transportation (truck is a bonus). MUST WORK FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS AND WE START EARLY! If you are not into honest hard work, staying busy, being on time, self-motivated, and reliable, this isn't for you. You will need to provide references.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, pathways, and outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and landscaping activities.
- Operate and repair farm machinery and heavy equipment such as tractors, tillers, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide animal duties including feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health for farm animals.
- Perform equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge to keep machinery in top condition.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including troubleshooting and repairing farm machinery and equipment.
- Cleaning and maintaining a welding and fabrication shop.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
