***Monday through Friday with varied hours 6:45am - 3:15pm; 8am - 4:30pm; 9:00am - 5:00pm***
Job Functions:
• Recognize significant changes in conditions of residents.
• Administer medications according to procedure and be aware of pharmacological and therapeutic effect.
• Chart medications and treatments according to procedures.
• Record nursing information on resident’s care plans and clinical records, including nursing notes, MARs, treat-ment record, and transcription of physician orders.
• Observe, report and record resident reaction to drugs, tests, treatments, and therapeutic measures.
• Participate in formal and informal staff development in-service programs, workshops, institutes and conferences.
• Inform Nursing Supervisor of departmental activities and condition of each resident.
• Assume responsibility for assigned residents, including regular bed checks, to ensure that no resident is left unattended or permitted to wander from the premises and ensure that resident call lights are answered promptly.
• Report incidents of reported resident abuse immediately.
• Report all unusual occurrences (incidents/accidents) that occur during the shift.
• Supervision of CMAs who give direct resident care on the shift.
• Ensure rehabilitative nursing procedures are performed.
• Record monthly resident’s assessment and quarterly assessment.
• Assist in interpreting goals and objectives of the Healthcare Department.
• Perform compliance rounds at least twice during a shift to ensure residents’ needs are met.

Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Be congenial to residents, family members and associates and respond in an appropriate professional manner.
- Must be able to respond to residents in an independent living unit during an emergency.
- Excellent technical assessment skills required.
- Work environment involves slight physical risks or hazardous conditions and exposure to communicable diseases, which require following basic safety precautions (wearing lab coats, rubber gloves, face masks, etc.). To the extent that the employee complies with precautionary measures, this risk is reduced.
Education & Experience Required:
- Current Licensed Nurse in the State of Georgia
- Good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing
- CPR certification
- Experience in long-term care; supervisory experience preferred
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word)
