What you'll do: This position will drive a company truck and is responsible for delivering perishable products (FLOWERS & PLANTS!!) to assigned retail stores in a safe, timely, and economical manner. Provide service that is aimed at delighting our customers. Build and maintain open and trusting relationships with relevant store personnel, and the Len Busch Roses team.
Come deliver joy in 40 hours in 4 days, be home daily AND drive first shift!!!
Start time: 6:00am
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week M - F.
Monday, Thursday, and Friday are set workdays, with the fourth day typically scheduled on either Tuesday or Wednesday based on team collaboration.
Starting pay: $21.50-$24/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Safely operate a delivery truck, lift gate, and cart to transport product from LBR to Retail stores
- Deliver product on time and in the condition it was when it left LBR. Place product where the customer requests in their back room.
- Work with retail store personnel and receiving team and adhere to retail store delivery requirements. Follow store requirements for checking in and out at each delivery.
- Back truck in to retail store loading docks
- Perform multiple deliveries operating the truck liftgate mechanism
- Must be able to complete all the tasks based on written standard work and meet the times associated with each step of the standard work.
- Consistently complete and turn in accurate vehicle inspection reports and daily documentation that supports vehicle and driver safety, product quality, and daily operations
- When necessary, load trucks
- Responsible to alert LBR Vehicle Technicians & Supervisor in a timely manner of required truck repairs. Maintain and clean the inside of the truck after each shift (cab and box).
- Fuel truck at the end of each route
- Ability to work up to a 12 hour shift
- Assist other teams when necessary
- Recommend process changes to improve productivity, safety, and quality

Requirements & Experience:

- Valid drivers’ license & DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
- Pass Federal DOT drug test
- Clean Driving Record
