Key Responsibilities
- Help plan, organize, and conduct 3-5 practices per week.
- Supervise and manage the team during 12-18 scheduled contests.
- Provide direct supervision and guidance during all practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team.
- Create and implement practice plans focused on player skill development, game strategies, and fitness.
- Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about schedules, team progress, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all district policies and athletic guidelines.
- Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly with middle school-aged students.
- Strong understanding of wrestling rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage a team of young athletes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to promote a positive sports environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Practices: 3-5 per week (scheduled after school).
- Meets: 12-18 scheduled meets over the season (including home and away meets).
