Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality sushi dishes to our customers. Responsibilities: - Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards - Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sushi station and kitchen area - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service - Assist with menu planning and development of new sushi dishes - Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times - Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed - Train and mentor junior sushi chefs or kitchen staff as required Requirements: - Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in the food industry - Extensive knowledge of sushi-making techniques, including knife skills and presentation - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Preferred Skills: - Previous experience working in a dietary department or food service setting - Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation - Knowledge of different types of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri - Ability to handle various types of fish and seafood safely Join our team as a Sushi Chef and showcase your culinary skills in creating delicious sushi dishes.
