Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our shipping and receiving team. As an associate, you will be responsible for facilitating incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory cycle counts, and miscellaneous tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Staging, loading, and unloading freight in an efficient and safe manner, recording all necessary paperwork
- Checking inventory and shipments for accuracy, damages, and complete paperwork
- Utilize RF scanners and the Warehouse Management System
- Organize storage areas using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store product
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
- Abide by all company rules and policies regarding conduct and safety
- Performs related duties as directed
Requirements and Skills
- Must be 21 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift experience , certification preferred
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge and proven safe working skills
- Experience working with warehouse technology preferred, including RF scanners
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively and safely
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to stand for duration of shift and ability to lift 40 lbs.
This position reports directly to the Director of Warehouse Operations.
You are required to pass a background check and drug test prior to employment.
Additional Information
Job Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $15 - $18 per hour DOE
