As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to menu specifications, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision and consistency, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health regulations and quality standards
- Support the team during busy service periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized throughout shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes and excellent customer service
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, catering, or restaurant cooking is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly
- Experience with menu planning and food presentation is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
- Culinary experience in fine dining or catering settings is highly desirable
- Food service or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques
