*Position Details*
- *Start Date:* September 1, 2025
- *Schedule:* Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 1:45 PM
- *Pay:* $26.00/hour
- *Status:* Part-time, in-person
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks from a set menu (all food & supplies delivered weekly)
- Keep our kitchen organized, clean, and running smoothly
- Connect daily with teachers and occasionally children, you’re part of the school community, not just “in the back”
- Follow all health & safety guidelines from Public Health and the Department of Early Learning
- Take pride in plating and presentation — children eat with their eyes first!
- *7:45 AM* – Arrive, start breakfast prep
- *8:30 AM* – Deliver plated breakfast to classrooms
- *9:30 AM* – Begin lunch prep, load/unload dishwasher
- *12:00 PM* – Set up dining tables or plate lunch meal for classrooms
- *1:00 PM* – Tidy and sanitize kitchen, prep afternoon snack
- *1:45 PM* – Finish up and head out for the day
- Have experience in early learning settings, schools, or cooking for groups — or you’re eager to learn and follow our methods
- Are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Bring positive energy and enjoy being part of a child-focused environment
- Can multitask without feeling rushed
- Want to take ownership of a space and be a long-term part of a close-knit team
- Washington State Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to get one before starting)
- Fingerprint clearance / background check (we’ll guide you through this)
- Ability to follow set menus and maintain a consistent routine
- Comfort working independently while still being a valued part of the school team
