About the Role
LEM Products is looking for a Consumer Product Development Manager to take ownership of key product categories and drive performance across the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch to optimization. This role blends product development, category management, and market insight to deliver innovative products that meet customer needs and drive profitable growth.

What You’ll Do
Category Ownership & Strategy
· Own and drive performance of assigned product categories
· Analyze trends, competition, pricing, and assortment gaps
· Build and maintain Good / Better / Best product architectures
· Partner with Sales & Marketing across DTC, wholesale, and Amazon channels
· Identify opportunities to grow revenue, margin, and market share
Product Lifecycle Management
· Manage products from concept through launch and end-of-life
· Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on timelines and objectives
· Define product requirements based on customer insights and data
· Ensure strong go-to-market execution (positioning, pricing, messaging)
New Product Development (NPD)
· Identify new opportunities through VOC, data, and competitive benchmarking
· Build business cases including revenue, margin, and investment assumptions
· Utilize Stage-Gate processes to bring new products to market
· Partner with sourcing, engineering, and QA teams
Market & Customer Insights
· Gather and analyze customer feedback, reviews, and usage data
· Identify unmet needs and translate them into product innovation
· Support marketing efforts including product launches and promotions
Financial & Performance Management
· Own revenue and margin targets
· Develop forecasts, pricing strategies, and performance analysis
· Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Leadership
· Serve as the central point of coordination across teams
· Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs
- Ensure clear and consistent communication
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field
· 3–5 years of experience in product development or category management
(or associate’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience)
· Experience with product lifecycle management and stage-gate processes
· Strong analytical, project management, and leadership skills
· Ability to turn data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in consumer goods, durable goods, or outdoor/sporting categories
· Familiarity with DTC, Amazon, and wholesale channels
· Experience launching products and go-to-market planning
· Exposure to sourcing, manufacturing, or supply chain
