Social Media Associate (Freelance)

Lela Rose is seeking a Freelance Social Media Associate to support the day-to-day management and growth of the brand’s Instagram presence. This role will be responsible for creating, planning, and publishing engaging, visually compelling content that reflects the Lela Rose brand across ready-to-wear, bridal, and retail accounts. Working closely with the Marketing Director and graphic designer, the freelancer will help bring the brand to life through thoughtful storytelling, consistent content, and an elevated visual presence.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop and create Instagram content, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and feed posts, that aligns with the brand’s visual identity and voice.
• Content Planning: Maintain an content calendar aligned with seasonal collections, product launches, bridal, trunk shows, retail initiatives, and marketing priorities.
• Copywriting & Publishing: Write on-brand captions, prepare content, and manage scheduling and publishing across the Instagram feed and Stories.
• Community Management: Monitor comments, direct messages, tags, and brand mentions, responding appropriately and escalating customer inquiries when needed.
• Content Capture: Identify opportunities to capture behind-the-scenes moments, product details, events, and other brand content, including on-site content creation as needed.
• Trend Awareness: Stay current on relevant Instagram trends, formats, and platform updates, identifying opportunities that feel authentic to the Lela Rose brand.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Creative, E-Commerce, Retail, and Sales to support brand storytelling and business priorities.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor engagement, reach, and other key metrics, sharing regular updates and recommendations to improve performance.
• Content Organization: Maintain an organized library of social assets and ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience managing Instagram for a fashion, luxury, lifestyle, or consumer brand.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating Instagram content creation, visual storytelling, and brand development.
• Experience creating and editing Reels and other short-form video content.
• Excellent copywriting skills and a strong understanding of luxury brand positioning.
• Proficiency with content editing and scheduling tools.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines independently.
• Strong visual sensibility and an interest in fashion, design, and contemporary culture.
