Install Technician
About the Role
LEK Technology Group is seeking a Level 2–3 Install Technician to support field installations of access control, CCTV, and structured cabling systems. This role works under the direction of a Project Manager and or Lead Technician and is ideal for technicians with hands‑on low‑voltage experience who are looking to grow their skills in the security and access control space.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with daily on‑site installation activities as directed by the Project Manager or Lead Technician
- Install and support:
- Access control systems (controllers, readers, locks, power supplies)
- CCTV systems (IP and analog, including cloud‑managed platforms)
- Structured cabling systems (copper and fiber)
- Maintain jobsite safety and follow LEK installation standards
- Work efficiently as part of a field team on active construction sites
Technical Responsibilities
- Install and configure door controllers, readers, electrified hardware, and power supplies
- Assist with troubleshooting low‑voltage cabling, PoE, and basic network connectivity issues
- Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling
- Support Lead Technicians with system installations and testing
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of low‑voltage or security system experience
- Prior low‑voltage and cabling installation experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with access control and camera systems
- Fiber termination, fusion splicing, and testing experience
- Commercial, military, or school construction project experience
Technical Knowledge
- Low‑voltage wiring standards and best practices
- OSHA and general jobsite safety awareness
Work Environment
- Commercial construction environments
- Indoor and outdoor installations
- Ladder and lift work required
- Regional travel may be required (per diem provided when applicable)
