Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the service department team, including technicians, service advisors and parts operation fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee daily operations such as vehicle intake, repair processes, quality control, and service delivery to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase upselling opportunities while maintaining integrity and transparency with customers.
- Ensure all RV repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications, including diagnostics.
- Maintain accurate service writing and repair estimating to provide clear communication of repair needs and costs.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies; coordinate with vendors for timely procurement.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining detailed records of all financial activities related to the service department.
- Promote excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring clients leave satisfied with their experience.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in RV service management.
- Extensive knowledge of RV diagnostics, repair procedures, and all systems across various RV types.
- Hands-on mechanic experience and familiarity with RV repair processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team toward achieving departmental goals.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Experience in RV estimating and service writing practices.
- Knowledge of sales techniques including upselling sevices needed.
