This position plays a crucial role in identifying and developing plastic welding sales opportunities and supports other opportunities as they develop in our Midwest Region. The territory includes Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Missouri. Frequent travel within the territory is required.The ideal candidate will possess problem solving and analysis skills as well as the ability to negotiate and manage contractual agreements. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing, are essential for success in this role.Primary ResponsibilitiesCandidate will be involved with industrial applications varying from stationary hot air devices for welding industrial fabrics, to handheld plastic extruders for plastic welding, or walk behind tools for banner/billboard and tarp assembly.Develop new business through customer visits and product demonstrations.Engage existing customer base and analyze/grow Leister opportunities.Cultivate new customers in territory.Become an expert at specifying the proper tool/equipment to satisfy each customer’s unique hot air application.Participate in a wide variety of activities to ensure optimum networking opportunities with partners, trade associations, customer supplier open houses, etc.Develop strong relationships with OEMs and automation machine builders creating Leister specific repeat business.Build upon Leister’s existing and historical quality leadership.Essential SkillsBachelors Degree and 2-4 years of outside B-to-B sales experience requiredExperience in the plastics industry or other technical field is a plusIdeal candidate will be results oriented, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and excellent communication skillsGood working knowledge of PowerPoint and ExcelCRM Experience (SAP By Design experience a plus)Ability to travelIn addition to the posted salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 we offer uncapped bonus opportunities tied to sales performance as well as a company car.Join us at Leister Technologies LLC and be part of our journey towards excellence!
