Leading direct mail marketing and printing company in the Detroit region is searching to hire an experienced Mailroom Manager due to an upcoming retirement.
Responsibilities include:
Manage all daily operations of the direct mail department including scheduling, quality, support, training, and overall performance of the team.
Responsible for 10 mailroom employees over 2 shifts.
Provide expert guidance in USPS compliance.
Primary contact for USPS representative.
Make sure employees follow quality control practices in accordance with ISO standards.
Overall quality and on-time production of the mailing dept. meeting and/or exceeding client specifications.
Work closely with production depts, customer service, and sales to keep jobs on track.
Address issues and help employees trouble shoot and problem solve.
Working knowledge of inserting and inkjet addressing equipment.
Use company technology such as MIS software, email and PC.
Qualifications include:
Minimum 5 years' mailroom management experience in the direct mail industry.
Expert knowledge of USPS regulations and compliancy.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Sense of urgency and works well under pressure.
Dependable and quality focused.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong employee training and mentoring skills.
Hands-on experience of mailroom equipment to assist and help troubleshoot as needed.
Mailing certifications such as MDP, FSC or EMCM are highly desired.
Adaptable and flexible to production changes.
PC proficient. Working knowledge of PACE software a plus.
Day shift position.
Starting salary range $78,000 - $92,000 benefits, 401k match, and relocation assistance.
