What are the responsibilities and job description for the BDC Manager position at LEIF JOHNSON FORD II LTD?
We’re hiring a BDC Manager to run a high-urgency, high-standards lead operation focused on speed-to-lead, consistent follow-up, and setting real appointments (reservations) that show and buy.
This role is for a hands-on leader who can coach day-to-day behaviors, hold the team accountable to activity and quality, and improve outcomes without letting leads get stale.
Responsibilities

Own BDC performance: response time, contact rate, appointments set, show rate, and sold outcomes

Coach scripts and messaging for text/email/calls to increase engagement and bookings

Monitor lead flow and assign/redistribute leads to prevent missed opportunities

Run daily huddles, call reviews, and performance follow-ups

Build and enforce process: logging, next steps, time-stamped tasks, and escalation rules

Partner with Sales Managers to coordinate reservations, confirmations, and day-of execution

Recruit, train, and develop BDC reps; improve retention and performance consistency
Qualifications

2 years BDC leadership or internet sales leadership experience in automotive preferred

Strong coaching ability (call review, messaging review, accountability)

Proven track record improving appointment show rate and sold outcomes

Process-driven: you like standards, dashboards, and daily execution

Comfortable with CRM workflows and reporting (VinSolutions experience a plus)

Strong communication, urgency, and professionalism
