The Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate, part of the National Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Test Engineer for the Maru program, a critical initiative focused on modernizing geospatial processing and exploitation mission software.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to support quality assurance efforts across web applications, APIs, and microservices within an agile development environment. This role focuses on executing manual test cases,identifyingdefects,validatingsystem functionality, and ensuring software meets functional and performance requirements prior to release.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in manual software testing, requirements analysis, and defect tracking. This individual will work closely with developers,DevSecOpsengineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality, reliable software delivery.
Clearance Level Required
TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Polygraph

Primary Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution:Develop, document, and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and user stories.
- Functional Testing:Perform functional, regression, integration,andsmoketesting.
- API Validation:ValidateRESTful APIs usingthe availabletools.
- Defect Management:Identify, document, track, and verify defects.
- Requirements Analysis:Analyze system requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage andidentifyedge cases.
- Test Documentation:Maintaintraceability matrices, test artifacts, and supporting documentationin accordance withprogram standards.
- Collaboration:Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, andvalidatefixes.
- US citizenship is required per contract.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8-12 years of relevant experience; orMaster’sdegree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
- 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
- Strong experience developing and executing manual test cases.
- Experience testing web-based applications and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
- Working knowledge of RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, and web application workflows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Familiarity with security or compliance-focused testing practices.
