Junior .NET Software Developer
Location: Hybrid/onsite in Bethesda, MD – onsite 2-3 days

We are seeking a Jr. level .NET Software Developer to join our task force supporting the Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation in Bethesda, MD. This role supports mission-critical federal health enterprise systems and provides the opportunity to work on modern, scalable solutions in both on-prem and Azure cloud environments.
Position Overview
The selected candidate will research, design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications for our Leidos clients using Microsoft .NET technologies and Azure cloud services. This role involves full lifecycle development in an Agile environment, following secure development practices and modern DevSecOps methodologies.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications
Develop .NET applications on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Web APIs, and Logic Apps
Write clean, defect-free code following software engineering best practices (code reuse, refactoring, CI/CD, secure coding, TDD)
Support software configuration management and understand software component interfaces and dependencies
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, DevSecOps, and the Azure platform
Collaborate with customers, analysts, architects, DBAs, operations, and testers in an Agile Scrum environment
Contribute proactively to software quality, continuous improvement, and cloud modernization initiatives
Gain and apply working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio to support intelligent and AI-enabled application capabilities
Key Technical Responsibilities
Design and develop applications using ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, REST, XML
Develop C# applications using Microsoft Visual Studio and ORM frameworks
Build Windows console applications using object-oriented principles
Develop and maintain SQL Server, MySQL database scripts using SQL and T-SQL
Design and develop responsive web user interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery
Design and develop graphs and charts using Telerik UI and third-party components
Design and implement Web Services, WCF, and Web APIs
Implement middleware and application-level security and authentication
Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS
Required Education Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
2-4 years of relevant professional experience
Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, ADO.NET, Entity Framework
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP-based web services
Experience developing .NET applications in Microsoft Azure
Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Web APIs, and Logic Apps
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience building enterprise-scale applications using databases, Windows services, and web services
Strong understanding of object-oriented design and C# console application development
Front-end experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, AJAX
Experience with Telerik UI or similar third-party UI frameworks
Strong experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions
Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS
Proficiency with Git and modern source control practices
Familiarity with Azure DevSecOps and cloud security best practices
Working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio, or willingness to learn
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in federal or healthcare environments
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
Azure certifications are a plus

Pay Range:
Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
