Senior Joint Fires Network SME Location: National Capital Region Sector: National Security Sector, Leidos Leidos’ National Security Sector is seeking a Senior Joint Fires Network (JFN) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in the National Capital Region. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in the Joint Fires Network to support the Joint Staff J6 Deputy Director for C5 Integration (DD C5I) and the Joint Fires Integration Division (JFID). Together, we will drive the Department of Defense’s effort to modernize the Joint Targeting Cycle Command and Control (C2) for globally integrated, all-domain fires and effects, delivering capability at speed and scale. Primary Responsibilities Serve as liaison between the JS J6 DD C5I and the Joint Fires Network Executive Steering Group (JFN ESG), engaging with member organizations. Shape, inform, and prepare DD C5I (SES Principal) and JFID Chief for all JFN ESG meetings. Cultivate strategic relationships with key JFN stakeholders to enhance DD C5I effectiveness in supporting JFN implementation. Provide recommendations to DD C5I and JFID during JFN document reviews. Align JFN Program of Record with Joint Staff–sponsored demonstrations, experiments, technical optimization events, and JROC activities. Review and prepare correspondence related to JFN from JFID and DD C5I for higher authorities. Basic Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience, including at least 8 years of military service. Current TOP SECRET-SCI clearance. Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS). Extensive experience with the Joint Fires Network and related programmatic considerations. Advanced knowledge of the DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) and specific experience with Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) architecture. Strong understanding of the Joint Requirements Process and DoD Program Management business practices. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (MA or MS). High-level staff experience within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or other major command. Military operational or intelligence background with demonstrated expertise. Advanced knowledge of DoD Capability Portfolio Management to advise senior leadership on capability investment, divestment, and management. Experience applying enterprise risk assessment and mitigation methodologies. Proven expertise in integrating multidomain operations.
