Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor the HTST pasteurization equipment to ensure optimal performance and product safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to guarantee food safety and quality.
- Perform sanitation procedures on equipment and work areas regularly, following established sanitation protocols.
- Assist with packaging operations, ensuring products are correctly filled, sealed, labeled, and stored according to specifications.
- Document all production activities accurately, including batch records, process logs, and maintenance reports.
- Support forklift operations for raw material and finished product movement within the facility as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience in food processing or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP, CGMP, and food safety regulations is essential for maintaining compliance.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures specific to food production facilities.
- Hands-on experience with packaging machinery and processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively; forklift certification is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols within a food industry setting to promote a safe working environment.
