Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Medical Records Specialist to join our team. This is a part-time, remote position that will require the candidate to work from their own home office. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical record keeping and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and maintain patient medical records in an electronic format
- Ensure all medical records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Respond to requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Retrieve and upload medical records from external sources as needed
- Review medical records for accuracy and completeness, and make any necessary updates or corrections
- Monitor and track medical record requests and ensure timely responses
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient medical records
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies in medical records
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
