Position Overview
The Fire Sprinkler Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business, expanding existing client relationships, and promoting the company’s fire sprinkler installation, service, and inspection offerings. This role focuses on building long‑term partnerships while achieving revenue and margin goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned territory.
- Identify sales opportunities for fire sprinkler installation, retrofits, service, repairs, and inspections.
- Conduct site visits, project walk-throughs, and customer meetings to evaluate client needs and propose appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and sales presentations in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with design, estimating, project management, and service teams to ensure accurate scopes and successful project execution.
- Track sales activities, pipeline development, and forecasting through CRM tools.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in alignment with company guidelines.
- Maintain a strong understanding of NFPA standards, local codes, and industry requirements.
- Participate in industry events and networking to grow market presence.
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets and profitability goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in fire protection, construction, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of fire sprinkler systems, installation processes, and applicable codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills.
- Self‑motivated with strong time‑management and territory‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
