JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Project Engineer is an early-career position with robust growth opportunity within Lehman Daman. This position will work with multiple account managers, estimators, office manager and superintendents as needed across multiple projects. Ultimately responsible for document control, including correspondence to owner/architects, subcontractors, and field associates. The Project Engineer will also assist in managing projects and developing estimates.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist account managers and estimators with the following:
- Strict adherence to L/D safety practices and procedures.
- Contacting subcontractors and vendors during bid process.
- Project scope of work development.
- Project planning and implementation of activities.
- Document management and logging including safety documentation, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close out documents, meeting minutes.
- Subcontractor and superintendent coordination.
- Travel to jobsites as required by AM and/or superintendents, including possibly out of State.
SKILLS:
- Strong computer and smart-phone skills, especially in Microsoft Office
- Ability to react quickly to requests of customers and superintendents.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to function in a remote environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of construction experience is desired.
- An associates degree or higher education in a construction or engineering related field is required.
