Job Scope
Responsible for the electrical maintenance function for the plant. Provides supervision for the electrical maintenance personnel to ensure performance standards are met in a safe and cost-effective manner. Maintains the plant process and business networks. Oversees trouble shooting methodologies and provides feedback to various departments to improve maintenance performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Drive the plant behavior-based safety culture through positive engagement of the plant workforce.
- Plan, schedule, and supervise predictive and preventive electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the electrical department including department capital projects.
- Ensure employees are properly trained in electrical craft skills and safe work practices. Evaluate training needs and provide additional training as needed.
- Maintain plant process and business networks. Includes troubleshooting of PLC’s and Ethernet, fiber optic, and Profibus platforms.
- Provide input to plant capital plan and operation budgets.
- Troubleshoot and correct electrical, instrumentation, networking, and PLC problems.
- Implement company policies and procedures, including Union contract.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION: 3 years of electrical mechanical repair and maintenance experience and/or a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar field of study.
- EXPERIENCE: 5 years of industrial electrical experience demonstrating progressive career growth.
- SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution systems and Siemens PLC’s; Solid organizational skills; Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience working with a CMMS, SAP experience preferred.
- BUSINESS UDERSTANDING: Prior experience working with or interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements is a plus.
- OTHER: Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing situations; Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.; Willingness to provide coverage during off-shift hour and weekends as required.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
