Lehigh Valley IronPigs E-Commerce/ Inventory Control Intern – Part Time
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs Merchandise Internship is a great learning experience from one of the top leaders in the industry. You will have the opportunity to get directly involved and gain hands on experience in various aspects of Minor League Baseball.
The E-Commerce Intern is responsible for all aspects of the IronPigs retail operations including the team store and the Online Retail Store at shopironpigs.com. This IronPigs internship is a paid, part time, temporary position working approximately 20 hours every other week. Shifts will typically be Mon-Friday 10am – 2pm with some Saturdays required. In this position you will not be scheduled to work games however there will be times that you will be asked to work games in the evening if there is a need. Candidates will also work approximately 3-5 day time games in season.
The Merchandise intern will be hired in MARCH and the internship will be completed at the end of the 2024 season in SEPTEMBER. This is an “in person” position. Hybrid or Remote is not possible.
Responsibilities:
· Merchandise intern will gain experience in all areas of the team's retail operation by managing the merchandise store and online sales.
· Oversee all aspects of e-commerce, including site maintenance and fulfillment
· Responsible for maintaining inventory, and doing weekly cycle counts
· Able to use a POS system along with store bookkeeping.
· Re-stock store including all ticketing & pricing.
· Track inventory levels during the season.
· opening & closing of the store when needed
· Conduct physical inventory count upon request
· Must have strong customer service skills
· Monitor inventory levels and inform Management of necessary re-orders
· Other duties as assigned
