This position is responsible for Managing student staffing for the help desk, circulation and interlibrary loan offices and library stacks. Oversee facilities, front line Information Delivery services and stacks management at Linderman Library. Coordinate Information Delivery Team staff desk rotation and schedule evening and weekend supervisors for all hours of operation at Fairchild and Linderman Libraries. - Management (including hiring, training, scheduling, performance assessment and discipline) of 35-40 wage and work study student employees at the help desk and Library service areas
- Oversee evening and weekend lending services including supervision for Linderman and EWFM Libraries
- Trains and supervises Student Supervisors and Assistants in basic circulation, desk, inventory, interlibrary loan and facilities functions
- Assesses work load at service points and adjusts student workers as needed to other office and stack duties
- Handles payroll paperwork, wage raises, and approval of timesheets for student employees. Processes payroll timesheets for student assistants
- Integrates student employees with other full time staff at service desks
- Provides assistance in troubleshooting problems with Library accounts, user complaints, equipment malfunctions, and facility problems
- Managing course materials on Coursesite, training library staff and student workers and assisting faculty in accessing
- Communicates with faculty regarding specifications for placing items on reserve to deadlines for placement and removal of course material and other special circumstances
- Monitors compliance with Copyright Law and notifies faculty when reserve requests are not covered by fair use guidelines; negotiates alternatives to posting material not allowed by Copyright Law
- Resolves problems with user accounts including collecting or waiving fines
- Manages inventories of library materials including Linderman Library stacks
- Maintains security of the building and collections
- Monitors functioning of photocopiers and printers; reports issues for resolution as needed
- Coordinates shelf reading and shifting in Library stacks with student workers
- Coordinates regular searches for missing and claimed returned items
- Manage facilities operations, access, maintenance, repair, security, deliveries and overall functioning of public spaces along with the LTS Director of Administration and the Lending Services Manager
- Handles opening and closing and coordinates emergency situations that cannot be internally resolved with the Director of Administration, Facilities Services and Campus Safety according to established procedures
- Creates building schedule for access with the IDEAL Office including exam periods, emergency closures, etc… and makes local arrangements for set up of building spaces
- Researches current physical condition of facilities and advises Director of Administration on upgrades and enhanced uses of spaces
- Serves as Building Monitor and Facilities Contact for Library
- Assists with coordinating student events and other University events in Library
- Participate on LTS or University committees
- Participate in continual professional development: attend conferences, Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC) meetings, LTS seminars, HR workshops and other professional development opportunities
- Learn new technologies, new software, new technical skills and share this knowledge with others on the team
- Assist with meeting strategic goals of LTS and take part in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity initiatives in LTS and at the University

Grade: 8-40; $45,490 - $54,600
This is an approximate range and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Humanities or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred
Three to five years related work experience
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in using library management software and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Experience in a customer service or library-related role
Good problem-solving skills
Knowledge of library procedures and classification systems is beneficial
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as library hours may vary
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
