What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Supervisor - PT - Weekdays (44648) position at Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure ground transportation companies conducting business with the Authority abide by all Resolutions, Rules, and Regulations for each of the Airports owned and/or operated by the Authority.
- Oversee parking staffing including hiring, training, payroll and scheduling to assure expected levels of airport activity
- Implement ground transportation guidelines, policies, and standard operating procedures for personnel to facilitate the efficient operation of the public parking lots and parking booths.
- Process all patrons complaints and inquiries.
- Reconcile revenue from parking operations.
- Coordinate all maintenance of parking revenue control equipment.
- Perform periodic inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
- Review and analyze signage requirements, web site data, and various publications to ensure adequate and accurate information on parking and ground transportation.
- Administer and adhere to all Authority personnel policies and departmental and affirmative action guidelines.
- Perform cashier operations, cash handling, credit card processing, monetary reconciliation, using computer register, operations, ribbon replacement, resolve ticket/credit card jams and interact with customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of two years Supervisory/Management experience in a transportation environment.
- Ability to plan and organize work, establishing priorities to carry projects through to timely completion and when necessary, meet emergency demands.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, work with limited direct supervision, be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Previous Customer Service experience preferred.
- Excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to respond and perform in emergency situations and severe weather conditions.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Must- Have Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must report to work dressed appropriately, as defined in the employee handbook, and in accord with the position. Attire can be formal, traditional, or business casual attire.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license that meets insurance requirements.
- Must be available to work split shifts, nights, weekends and holidays when required.
- Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements
- Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
- Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, to decipher telephone/radio communications, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
- Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 90 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and optional.
- Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
