Accounts Receivable Accountant

Keep our numbers sharp and our cash flow strong

We're looking for a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage billing, collections, and cash application. You'll ensure invoices are accurate, aging stays clean, and lien rights are protected-all while collaborating closely with our sales, construction, and design teams.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and send customer invoices, change-order bills, and progress draws.
• Apply daily cash receipts; research unapplied payments and short-pays.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up promptly with customers.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure billable items flow correctly from Buildertrend to accounting.
• Prepare monthly statements and resolve billing questions with clear documentation.
• Maintain lien waivers and track compliance with Texas lien timelines.
• Reconcile AR subledger to the GL and assist with month-end close.
• Support revenue recognition schedules and bank draw requests.

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of accounts receivable experience (construction or homebuilding preferred).
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and follow-up.
• Knowledge of lien laws, waivers, and GAAP principles.
• Team-oriented, organized, and proactive.
