What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food and Beverage Roles position at LEGOLAND Florida?

LEGOLAND Florida Resort is a 150-acre interactive theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. With more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, and uniquely themed LEGOLAND Water Park, LEGOLAND Hotel, and LEGOLAND Beach Retreat inspired by the LEGO and DUPLO brands, LEGOLAND is geared towards family fun.​

What you’ll be doing

As a key representative for our brand, you’ll ensure friendly and efficient service to all guests. You’ll assist in the preparation and delivery of quality food and beverages within our restaurants and ensure safety and sanitation procedures are always followed. As we are resort geared around families, you must be bubbly, enthusiastic, and able to focus your customer service towards adults as well as children. Does this sound like you? ​

About You

This position requires a positive attitude, a hospitable nature, and a desire to provide the highest quality customer service. It’s also vital that you’re a great teammate, and able to work efficiently and effectively within a team.​

Food & Beverage Host's must also:

  • Pass the Food Handlers sanitation class.​
  • Follow all Florida laws and license restrictions governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.​
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.​
  • Be willing to work in all weather conditions.​
  • Maintain adherence to all health and safety protocols. ​
  • Process Food & Beverage orders in an efficient and timely manner.​
  • Ensure cleanliness in all working areas.​
  • Handle credit card transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.​
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the location menu, product lines and preparation procedures. ​
  • Be quick-thinking, able to multi-task, and able to assist in other areas around the park if needed. ​

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long and sustained periods of time.​
  • Intermittent and prolonged walking to move about the resort site and interact with guests and employees.​
  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with guests and/or employees.​
  • Frequently lift items up to 50 pounds overhead. ​

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a very fast paced, multi-task environment with extreme temperature changes. ​
  • Must be able to work in an indoor and/ or outdoor, year-round environment with exposure to a variety of changing weather conditions. ​
  • May be exposed to food allergens.​
