About the role

As our Director, Search Marketing, Americas, you'll lead a search marketing team responsible for driving commercial performance across multiple retailer platforms and geographies. You'll manage a multi-million-dollar search investment, guide strategy across paid and organic search, and help define the future direction of eCommerce marketing in the Americas. Reporting to the VP, Head of Americas B2B eCommerce, you'll work across marketing, sales, operations, finance, and platform partners to deliver strong business outcomes while building capabilities for the next generation of online shopping.

Required Qualifications

  • Leadership proficiency in search marketing programs across platforms such as Amazon, Criteo, Google, and emerging search channels.

  • Demonstrated experience in having managed high-performing teams and external partner relationships.

  • Executed hands-on keys search advertising campaigns within retailer eCommerce environments or media agencies.

  • Directed marketing investment planning, forecasting, and budget management across multiple channels and geographies.

  • Built search strategies that delivered measurable growth through paid and organic search programs.

  • Delivered commercial results through retailer media platforms and lower-funnel acquisition initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applied retail search and SEO practices, including generative and agentic search optimization approaches.

  • Used analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python to evaluate marketing performance.

  • Worked within a consumer packaged goods brand, media agency, or retailer advertising organization.

  • Partnered directly with platforms such as Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Roundel, Google, Criteo, or similar organizations.

What you'll build

  • Lead a team of six specialists across Boston and Toronto responsible for paid and organic search execution.

  • Shape the Americas search marketing strategy across retailer platforms and online marketplaces.

  • Drive performance across retail media networks while maintaining strong commercial outcomes.

  • Build trusted partnerships with eCommerce leaders, commercial stakeholders, and media teams.

  • Develop test-and-learn roadmaps focused on retailer innovation opportunities.

  • Help the organization prepare for AI-powered and agentic shopping experiences.

If you've worked in a role where you identified high-value search opportunities, allocated investment efficiently, and led functional specialists to deliver measurable business growth, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is combining strong technical search expertise with leadership, commercial judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.

Life on the team

You'll join the Americas B2B eCommerce team, which brings together sales, marketing, content, and digital merchandising to help the LEGO Brand come to life online. The team works in a hybrid rhythm across Boston, Toronto, and Mexico City, staying connected through regular team meetings and in-person collaboration throughout the year. We value strong leadership, thoughtful prioritization, clear communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuously improving how we work.

What success looks like

Success means helping the team navigate major shifts in search technology while continuing to deliver strong commercial results. You'll work closely with direct reports, eCommerce leaders, account teams, media partners, and leadership stakeholders across the Americas. Over time, you'll help ensure the LEGO Group remains visible, relevant, and effective across retailer search environments while guiding the team into the future of agentic search optimization.
