What are the responsibilities and job description for the Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach position at Legion Collegiate Academy?
We are seeking passionate and committed Assistant Baseball Coaches to join our high school baseball program.
As an assistant coach, you’ll work closely with the Head Coach to support all aspects of the program, on and off the field. Your role will focus on skill development, game preparation, mentorship, and helping create an environment that supports athletic and personal growth for our student-athletes.

Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading practices, workouts, and film sessions
- Support in-game coaching and bench management
- Contribute to scouting reports, opponent breakdowns, and game planning
- Build relationships with players, encourage academic accountability, and support character development
- Help organize travel logistics, uniforms, and communication with families
- Uphold school, league, and program standards at all times
Qualifications
- Previous baseball coaching or playing experience
- Strong understanding of the game, with the ability to teach fundamentals and advanced concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must pass background check and meet all school/league coaching requirements
- Passion for working with student-athletes and contributing to a team-first culture
