So, what will you be doing as a Production Manager?
- Monitor processes to verify conformance to specifications and direct adjustments needed to avoid or correct issues
- Visually inspect product and quality checks for non-conforming issues or defects
- Direct personnel to make the proper process adjustments to maintain product quality standards
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Inform maintenance personnel of production line break downs and repair needs.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
- Initiate and/or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
- Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform tasks safely
- Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to maintain ongoing safe, environmentally sound operation of the production process
- Plan and schedule employees for required production line housekeeping tasks
- Monitor production records for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Fully supports and participates in all Safety, Environmental, Continuous Improvement Process and the Quality Management System.
- 3-5 years industrial supervisory experience
- 1-2 years of management experience
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with overtime (including nights)
- Excellent interpersonal & Communication skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and writing skills
