Leggett & Platt Machine Products is currently seeking a Planner / Estimator. This will be a full-time position.
Candidates should possess machining experience with the ability to determine the best manufacturing method for a variety of components, and familiarity with processes including heat treating, grinding, plating, and other post machining operations for costing purposes is a plus. A candidate should understand work-holding and tooling methods; have a working knowledge of various metals, tool steels, and castings; the ability to analyze drawings to determine the most efficient and cost-effective manner for production; able to quote fabricated and welded components; and the capability of estimating the cycle time of each operation. Strong knowledge and commitment to quality and Continuous Improvement as well as strong computer, math, and analytical skills are required. Candidates should be self-motivated, goal oriented and possess excellent customer service skills. The ability to work independently while having a cooperative attitude and the ability to work effectively with teams is a must. Excellent communication, organizational, written, and verbal skills are essential.
