As a Branch Manager you will have the opportunity to monitor shift production, product quality, shipping, employee safety, and inventories. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by improving efficiencies and making decisions to meet financial targets. So, what will you be doing as a Branch Manager?
- General management of the branch’s manufacturing facility and warehouse facility and the ultimate responsibility of proper coordination and communication between the facilities.
- Assure branch follows and complies with Corporate Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in Sales and Operational Planning meetings.
- Assure BOM, Routings and Costing are handled correctly
- Communication with all divisional personnel in regard to the intricacies of the branch’s operation as related to the responsibilities of the individual personnel.
- Proper assignment and supervisory development of all management and administrative personnel.
- Communication with corporate personnel, related branch personnel, and customers.
- Preparation of the branch capital budget.
- Preparation of the branch’s operating budget.
- Conform to all Quality/ Safety requirements and procedures.
- Participate in training programs.
- Participate in Total Productive Manufacturing Process and 6S Processes.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
- Identify, record, and communicate any problems relating to product, process, and the quality system.
- Stop the production of nonconformities related to product, process, and the system.
- Initiate action by recommending or providing solutions.
- Verify any action that prevents nonconformities is working.
- Perform other duties assigned by VP Manufacturing – US Spring
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Must have general management leadership capabilities.
- Must have excellent communication skills in all directions of the organizational company structure as well as with customers and suppliers.
- Must have excellent motivational capabilities.
- Should have had experience in all the working aspects of a manufacturing facility that would include administration, marketing, accounting, finance, industrial engineering, and production.
- Should have an in-depth knowledge of the workings of a union organization and the ability to negotiate with the union personnel.
- Must have a good understanding of safety procedures and Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
- Knowledge of Total Quality Management and manufacturing planning and scheduling
