Housekeeping Staff
Legends Recovery Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Housekeeping Staff member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff.
Position Details
- Pay: $17.50 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize client rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
- Change linens and restock towels, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies.
- Assist with laundry duties as needed.
- Maintain and properly store housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment to management.
- Follow proper procedures for using and storing cleaning chemicals.
- Follow all facility, sanitation, infection-control, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain client privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with clients.
- Complete assigned cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, or similar setting is a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Professional and respectful communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Ability to push/pull cleaning carts and operate standard housekeeping equipment.
