While honoring the traditions of Michigan whitetail hunting, we strive to prepare upscale cuisine in a rustic setting for our clients and guests.
Position Summary:
The position is responsible for food service with high execution of professionalism and hospitality. Person will provide premium service for guests while abiding by the service standards and proper food codes for cleanliness and sanitation. They will be expected to have a solid understanding of food preparation and service. ServSafe certification is a plus. As a rule, we are expected to go above and beyond to deliver a memorable experience for our guests.
Compensation is $14-$16 per hour based on experience.
Employment Status:
Most new and returning employees are hired under a seasonal employment status. Seasonal employees can typically expect a consistent schedule from June to December each year. At the end of each respective season, employees are encouraged to submit requests to transition to either year-round part-time or full-time status. Approval of these requests will be contingent upon the needs of the Ranch and the employee's performance record.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent experience
- Two or more years of kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Demonstration of strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically capability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching and twisting and ability to consistently lift up to 40 lbs.
- Reliable transportation
Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations
- Assist with food service during meal times, including plating and serving dishes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal delivery
- Knowledge of proper methods of using knives and other kitchen equipment
- Daily organization of walk-in cooler and freezer
- Carrying out duties as assigned by the Executive Chef
