Purpose
Ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of all technology systems across the organization, including pharmacy management software (PrimeCare, DocuTrack, NRx, PioneerRx), communication systems, emergency systems, and the company website. This position supports all aspects of IT infrastructure, software, and technology-driven process improvement to enhance pharmacy and facility operations.
Working knowledge of:
- Windows operating systems, networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), and Active Directory.
- Hardware installation, imaging, and troubleshooting.
- VOIP and phone systems administration.
- Website maintenance (WordPress, Wix, or similar CMS) and basic HTML/CSS.
- Reporting and data analysis (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools).
- IT security, HIPAA compliance, and data backup best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide IT support for all pharmacy software and hardware systems, including PrimeCare, DocuTrack, NRx, and PioneerRx
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and related peripherals
- Manage and maintain hardware and software inventory, including serial numbers, locations, and purchase/retirement dates
- Maintain and troubleshoot VOIP and communication systems across all pharmacy locations
- Assist with StatSafe installations and interface setup in coordination with pharmacy operations
- Ensure regular system updates, antivirus protection, and reliable data backups
- Maintain and update the company website, coordinating with internal staff and vendors as needed
- Create, maintain, and improve operational reports and dashboards to support visibility and efficiency
- Identify opportunities for technology-driven workflow improvements and process automation
- Coordinate with software vendors and third-party providers for escalated technical issues
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant security practices across all systems and devices
- Provide training and support to staff on new or updated software, hardware, and systems
- Maintain SIGIS membership and ensure all software updates and changes are properly documented
- Manage invoices, receipts, and required documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain issued equipment and workspace in proper working condition; report issues promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and required identification badge
- Travel may be required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or healthcare technology
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with PrimeCare, DocuTrack, NRx, or PioneerRx
- Reporting and analytics experience (Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools)
- Website maintenance experience (WordPress, Wix, or similar CMS; basic HTML/CSS)
