Job Summary
Run 1 machine with assistance while focusing on learning how to properly operate a CNC machine.
Job Responsibilities
- Run 1 machine with assistance from an experienced operator
- Learn/ perform production and maintenance practices
- Startup/ shutdown, cycle start/ cycle stop, load/ unload machine, make offsets, change inserts, fill coolant tank, clean machine, purge dropped parts, shaving management, lube/grease/oil, clear basic faults
- Learn/ perform quality practices
- Follow job packet/ OIIS/ SOPs, gauge checks, submit parts for approval, FPGP/LPGP, blueprints, SPC, special alerts, scrap accountability
- Learn/ perform communication practices
- Complete and submit daily production sheet
- Complete start of shift and end of shift checklists
- Report issues to supervisor, lead or setups and complete required documentation
Job Requirements
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods
- Able to work in warm temperatures
- Able to tolerate noise and oil
- Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
- Follow all company policies
- Follow all health and safety procedures and guidelines
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Meet quality and production requirements each day
Qualifications
- Good with decimal math
