UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND

Maryland Athletics has partnered with Legends to integrate data and analytics, marketing, Terrapin Club fundraising initiatives, premium seating, a new private social membership club, and general ticket sales initiatives into a single revenue-driven approach.

Legends will assist in the sales strategy and execution of premium seating and ticket packages for all ticketed sports and will partner closely with athletics development leadership to support the day-to-day aspects of the Terrapin Fund programs. Legends’ unique fundraising platform, an essential service embraced by higher education, identifies effective fan and donor engagement strategies to enhance ticket sales, philanthropic giving and other opportunities.

Maryland and Legends will introduce a Private Social Member Club & Restaurant with daily operations delivering elevated hospitality with premium culinary and beverage offerings, located in Maryland Athletic venues and hospitality spaces. The experience within the club is driven by Maryland’s brand and DNA, creating an environment inviting alumni, donors, fans, faculty, coaches and executives. The Club will offer client-based perks and amenities only members can access - creating an air of exclusivity combined with a sense of personal connection and belonging.

Supporting these revenue generation pillars will be a robust technology, data, and analytics platform. The new business intelligence platform will provide Maryland Athletics with greater insights into Terrapin fans, including a complete view of their relationship to the University and athletic department, specific interests, brand affinities, behaviors, and how to most effectively engage.
