Restaurant Cashier

Legends Global at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack is looking for seasonal restaurant cashiers to work during the 2026 San Diego County Fair and Summer Live Meet Racing Season, June 10th - September 7th. Qualified candidates must be available Thursday through Sunday.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Include the following:

• Maintains accurate accounting of all credit card sales on assigned location.
• Organizes all paperwork for cashier responsibilities including cash slips, voids, comps and house charges.
• Verifies menu pricing matches POS system
• Monitors the proper use of vouchers, coupons and promotions.
• Maintains accurate credit card handling procedures at all times.
• Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Education and/or Experience

• High School or GED
• Must have basic working knowledge of computers, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
• Must be able to use POS system
• Must have basic working knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
• Must be able to be move between buildings and food areas and stand for long periods 2-4 hours.
  
  

Computer Skills

• Aloha POS systems - a plus
• Microsoft Office
  
  

Other Qualifications

• Dependability
• Background check required
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, full week.
  
  

Compensation

This position’s pay rate will range from $21 to $24 per hour.
