In-Seat Runner

In-Seat Runners support In-Seat Servers by expediting food and beverage orders from kitchens or concession areas to premium seating sections. They ensure orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and in optimal condition, maintaining Legends’ standards for quality and presentation. In-Seat Runners assist with inventory restocking, organization, and communication between service and culinary teams to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional guest experience throughout each event.

The Role

Duties & Responsibilities

• Retrieve prepared food and beverage orders from kitchen or service areas and deliver to in‑seat servers
• Ensure accuracy of orders and verify items match guest tickets
• Maintain food temperature and presentation during transport
• Navigate aisles and stairs safely and efficiently while carrying trays or baskets
• Assist in running additional items such as condiments, utensils, or napkins
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff about order status and special requests
• Collect used trays or dishes and return to dishwashing area
• Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness of service areas
• Support other service tasks during downtime
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

• Experience in food service, banquets, or catering preferred
• Smart Serve certification if transporting alcoholic beverages
• Food handler certification
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  
  

Physical Demands

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout shift, often on concrete or stairs
• Frequent carrying and lifting of trays, beverages, and food items up to 25–40 pounds (heavier for barbacks and runners)
• Ability to balance and maneuver while serving in crowded or confined spaces
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests in a noisy environment
